SPAIN - Resalte de Penafiel's Gran Resalte 2000 is made of 100% Tempranillo, and comes from single estate grown vines ranging from 60-80 years old in Spain's famed region Ribera del Duero. The grapes are subject to a highly selective 100% hand picked harvest. This gem is classified as a Wine Maker´s Signature Wine under the D.O. Ribera del Duero, with a long aging of 32 months in highly selected new French oak barrels, with a minimum rest of 30 months in the bottle. This wine is highly evolved and is well to drink now through 2012.

"Deep ruby color, high robe, clean and bright. Intense and complex in nose, ripe black fruit aromas, preserves, liquorice, dark chocolate and cedar, as well as spicy, balsamic and mineral hints. Great volume and structured flavour. Elegant, harmonious, velvety and balanced with finely blent sweet and toasted tannins.
