Fog Crest Vineyard’s 2006 Estate Bottled Chardonnay was produced from Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley by the champion winemaking duo of Daniel Moore and David Ramey. Working together, the two have achieved a Burgundian-style Chardonnay with complexity, balance, depth and elegance to emphasize the incredible, unique nature of this small vineyard site. The Fog Crest 2006 Chardonnay was awarded 93 Points by Wine Enthusiast magazine: “…a crisp, minerally wine that shows great elegance and Chablis-like sophistication. Dry and crisp, it shows complex flavors of tart green apples and pears, with subtle influences of smoky oak.” This handcrafted Chardonnay also received 92 Points from industry giant Wine Spectator: “Beautifully defined flavors of pure, rich pear, fig and honeydew melon are shaded by light spicy, toasty oak. Builds complexity and depth on the finish, which is long and detailed.” The Fog Crest Vineyard 2006 Estate Bottled Chardonnay is a delicious accompaniment to food and pairs beautifully with grilled scallops, salmon with caper butter sauce, and ravioli with butter-cream sauce.
