Available Only at the Winery Tasting Room or through Gold Medal Wine Club! Castoro Cellars’ 2007 Pinot Grigio is produced within the Oakensheild Wineworks portfolio at Castoro, a special bottling project by Niels and Bimmer Udsen dedicated to the enjoyment of life with friends and family. This Pinot Grigio is just that – the ultimate aperitif wine, crisp with tantalizing aromas of apple, peach and lemon. Predominantly from the winery’s organically farmed Whale Rock Vineyard on the extreme west side of the Templeton Gap, the Pinot Grigio grapes experience warm days with cool, breezy nights from the close proximity to the Pacific Ocean. These conditions, paired with limestone soils, create a very desirable terrior for growing high quality wine grapes. Awarded a Silver Medal at the Sommelier Challenge International Wine Competition and a Silver Medal at the International Green Wine Competition, the Castoro Cellars 2007 Pinot Grigio sells out at the winery each year and is among the most popular selections in the tasting room. This deliciously crisp bottling pairs well with brie cheese and seafood dishes, especially scallops with cream sauce and baked salmon.
